Antim Panghal (18) of Bhagana village defeated Atlyn Shagayeva of Kazakhstan 8-0

in the World U-20 Wrestling Championship match on Friday in Sofia, Bulgaria,

to become the first U-20 women's wrestling world champion from India.

When she was the youngest of her four sisters, Antim's name was given to her

since her family did not want any more females.

"Even though she was the fourth daughter and we were apprehensive when she was born,

we never treated her differently and instead gave her more luxuries.

According to her mother Krishna Devi, she has come to us in the garb of a blessing.

Ram Niwas, Antim's father, will welcome her at the airport in Delhi tomorrow along with other residents.

Shakti Singh, the sarpanch, will also depart.

"We're all extremely proud of Antim, so we want to give her a big welcome.

She is truly our pearl, the Sarpanch said.
