To the delight of onlookers, a cat looked to have begun vocalising with its opera singer owner in a now-viral TikTok video.

In this TikTok video with over 3 million views, the cat, Maximino, took over the solo and began chirping and meowing in time with the music.

The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals claims that cats frequently communicate with people through vocalisation (ASPCA).

Cats commonly meow to greet one another, request food, and get attention.

Cats "enjoy social connection with people, and some will be very vocal in their requests for attention,"

according to the ASPCA. The cat might enjoy being petted, amused, or simply conversed with.

@maura.music, an opera singer, was beginning to record a TikTok video when Maximino abruptly entered the frame.

She took a little pause before Maximino seemingly picked up where she had left off with her singing. @maura.music initially exhibited shock before beginning to laugh.

The cat turned and marched away from the camera as the video came to an end, still "singing" along with the music.

According to an email from @maura.music to Newsweek, the video was shot a few years ago and was waiting on her camera roll until she chose to release it.

Maximino has shown off his singing talent, but @maura.music comes from a different musical background.

She claimed to have studied classical singing for five years since moving from Mexico to the United States.

User @maura.music of TikTok offered viewers with a second video featuring her cat.

She set up her camera and resumed singing opera until her cat interrupted.

While the video was still playing, the two began exchanging lyrics in front of @maura.

The music had to stop because she was laughing so loudly.

I couldn't believe so many people were responding and leaving such beautiful remarks, the woman said.

I felt joy when I shared smiles with others; it brightened my day.

Another popular TikTok video included a cat looking out a window to see what was going on in the pet owner's garden.
