According to the Sports Ministry, the Fit India Quiz attracts around 36,000 children.

36,299 students from 13,502 schools participated in the preliminary round of the Fit India Quiz, which aimed to create a national platform for kids to display their knowledge of fitness and sports.

According to the sports ministry, the preliminary round of the Fit India Quiz, which aims to provide a national platform for kids to demonstrate their knowledge of fitness and sports, gathered 36,299 pupils from 13,502 schools.

The State Rounds of the global quiz, which was introduced by Sports Minister Anurag Thakur, are currently underway. The preliminary round concluded on January 25.

The quiz has a total prize pool of Rs 3.25 crores, which will be given throughout the competition to winning schools and pupils.

According to Sports Secretary Sujata Chaturvedi, the purpose of the first-ever Fit India quiz is to “promote the message of the Fit India Movement among schoolchildren and to develop awareness among students about India’s rich athletic past.”

The Fit India Quiz, the country’s first school fitness and sports quiz, was launched in September 2021. It’s part of the government’s ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ programme to mark India’s 75th independence anniversary.
