10 Ways for Women to Deal with Workplace Stress

Women are particularly vulnerable to workplace violence due to the various roles they perform in life, including working woman, wife, mother, daughter, and friend. Women frequently work longer shifts, hurrying home to prepare dinner, aid their children with schoolwork, and prepare their husband’s professional attire for the next day. Due to the stress and anxiety caused by never-ending labour and unreasonable deadlines in a high-speed, high-tech world, women’s lives have become a living web of intricacy.

2.The To-Do-List- Use those Post-It notes or other sticky note pads to your advantage. Set a computer “alarm” to remind you of critical tasks and color-code your notes. It’s critical to know what to do first.

3.Time out- As the expression goes, “all work and no play makes Jack a dull lad.” Take a breather to regain your composure. Spam emails should be avoided at all costs. Play mind-expanding activities like sudoku or brainteasers. I’m now reading Chicken Soup for the Soul as well as other inspirational books.

4.Rearrange your workstation- To make your workstation feel more “homey,” hang photo frames of your family or a favourite pet. When you’re worried, just glance at their happy faces or cuteness, and you’ll find yourself smiling back!

5.When a plant isn’t just a plant- Having a plant at your desk can help you unwind. After a long day of staring at a computer screen or reading, studies show that glancing at anything green, such as a plant, can help relax your eyes. Concentrating on a green plant can help you relax.

6.Exercise- Walking, climbing the stairs, or going for a run can all help to release stress. Tension can be relieved by physical activity. Your body produces endorphins during exercise, which help you relax. Endorphins can also help with pain relief. You can choose from a wide range of exercise DVDs, including standard aerobics, pilates, tae-bo, and a variety of other fitness routines.

7.De-clutter- A cluttered workstation, complete with pens, pencils, notepads, and heaps of papers strewn across every inch of your workplace, adds to your stress. To make your work environment more comfortable, organise your stuff and chuck out everything you don’t need.

8.Set Boundaries- By speaking and exerting yourself, let your coworkers aware of when you are more available for chit-chat.

9.Go less in your caffeine intake- Caffeine is often thought of as a stimulant, but too much of it can produce anxiety and depression.

10.Eat a good breakfast- Don’t skip meals, even if you’re in a hurry. According to studies, if you make it a habit to have breakfast every day, your body will get more of the proteins it need for an energy boost throughout the day.

It is not required to self-flagellate in order to overcome work – related stress. Recognize when it’s appropriate to unwind. Sure, we all have obligations and responsibilities, but you’ll burn out if you don’t learn to relax! Make a conscious effort to unwind.

Check to see if you’re listening to music you enjoy. It is preferable if you do not smoke. Because if you don’t keep an eye on things, you risk developing hypertension, depression, and a slew of other conditions that could jeopardise your work and family life. If you want to live a long, long life, you must rediscover your sense of equilibrium.
